My 1976 Chevy K10 Pickup (call sign: Big Red)
I was the original owner of this 1976 Chevy K10 full-time 4WD short bed pickup truck. Built for the desert this truck would do 90mph without knocking your teeth out!
Engine features:
350 V8 - stock pistons and rods - 202 heads w/hardened valve seats (can run unleaded gas) - hydraulic lifters/roller rockers - Isky cam - Mickey Thompson aluminum valve covers - Holley 4010 600CFM square bore, mechanical secondaries, manual choke, plus all off-road goodies - Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake manifold - K&N air filter (6 inch) - Hooker headers - engine was balanced when originally built
Electrical and interior features:
the truck was completely re-wired - dual battery trays and marine grade battery selector switch under hood - battery cut-off under the hood - "armored" tubular lock style hood lock in cab - flat aluminum dash board - Stewart Warner gauges (2 amp, 1 volt, speedo, oil pressure & temp, water temp, tranny temp, fuel, vacumn) - Autogauge tachometer - Mastercraft bucket seats - 3 inch 5 way sholder harnesses - full roll cage - B&M ratchet (slap) shifter
Drivetrain and suspension features:
electric fuel pump and large firewall mounted fuel filter - valve covers vented to firewall mounted K&N filter with oil return to oil pan - trannsmission cooler and engine oil style filter - low stall B&M torque converter - tranny professionally built for off-road use including shift kit - B&M tranny oil pan with drain plug - engine oil cooler and remote mounted dual oil filters - 4 core "big block" radiator - drive shafts were custom built to match lift and they are balanced - transfer case was rebuilt with new chain and complete bearing set - transfer case and differentials vented to level of top of bed - rear differential is factory limited slip - Rancho suspension (springs, dual shocks) with over 10 inches travel front and rear - dropped steering arm (corrects for lift) - braided brake lines - Rhino rear axle truss
